    SupportPay Customer Care

The answer is no. It is not necessary for both parents to register in order for our application to be affective. However, SupportPay is best utilized when the other parent registers through the invitation that is sent to them when the first parent registers. This way everything is transparent. You are both able to directly pay & receive all payments & expenses that you enter in your account regarding your child(ren). You can also share any documents as well. You also have the option to keep whatever you want in your account private. SupportPay is also a great tool for your own personal use by keeping track of all your payments, expenses and any documentation you may need at a moment's notice. Also, please note:
We are a private platform that is not tied to any state child support system. Unfortunately, when it comes to questions and inquiries for child support managed by a state child support system, we can not be of much help as SupportPay does not have anything to do with the state child support systems.

I would suggest you contact your state child support system directly. You can find a link to your state child support agency by visiting: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/css/state-and-tribal-child-support-agency-contacts-map.
SupportPay offers a solution for parents to manage & exchange child support and share child expenses directly between each other, without having to go through a government agency.
