With the new version of SupportPay, we've introduced some improvements, changes, and new features to enhance your experience. In this article, we'll show you some of the main differences between the old and new versions:
Choosing A Family When Logging In
A significant enhancement to our platform is the newfound capability to add and oversee multiple families. This empowering feature enables our users to independently manage each financial relationship with precision. With this transformative update, upon logging in, users are prompted to select the specific family they wish to manage, ensuring a tailored and personalized financial management experience.
Adding An Expense
In the previous version of the app, users could choose to add either an expense or support through the "Add Expense/Support" option. We've not only enhanced this functionality but also refined the terminology to offer a more intuitive experience. Now, you have the option to add a "Reimbursement Expense," "Support Expense," or "Bill Expense."

New Expense Details Page
Previously, accessing the details of an expense involved a drawer appearing to the right of the screen after clicking on the desired expense. Now, we've introduced a dedicated "Expense Details" page, offering a comprehensive view that surpasses the previous setup. This enhancement ensures you have a more detailed and expansive perspective on each expense.

Splits Defaulting Between All Family Members
Previously, expense splits defaulted exclusively between the two parents in the account. However, with the recent update enabling the addition of more than two family members, splits now default among all users who are not considered dependent persons.
